ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The Atlanta Performers HealthNet is a program where local health care professionals and facilities offer 30% discounts to paid-up SAG-AFTRA and Equity members. They support the arts by discounting services that are under their direct control. Some also extend those discounts to spouses and children. Details are on the HealthNet flyer, and each facility will specify what discounts they may offer. 

The providers are in a non-binding agreement and may suspend their discounts (individually or collectively) at any time, for any reason. No one is “entitled” to the discounts. This is their gift to us. Please treat them and their staff with courtesy, respect, and appreciation. 

When you call for an appointment, identify yourself as a SAG-AFTRA or Actors Equity Union member participating in the Atlanta Performers HealthNet Program. Some providers work at facilities with others who do not participate in our program. So please be clear that you need to see the provider listed in the flyer who participates in the Atlanta Performers HealthNet. (This was previously known as the Atlanta Actors HealthNet, but we changed “Actors” to “Performers” to be more inclusive of SAG-AFTRA Stunt Performers, Dancers, etc., and Equity Stage Managers.)

At your first visit you give the provider a signed Terms of Use Agreement (page 2 of the flyer) which they will keep on file, and show them your current union card. At each subsequent visit you just show them your union card.

The Atlanta HealthNet Committee has updated the 2023 flyer to ensure continued provider participation. Good news: the Concourse Athletic Club has extended their discount for another year. Our Stunt Performers and Dancers may especially appreciate that facility’s discount!

Current Performers HealthNet providers are:
Chiropractor (Dr. Jared Simon, who was the brainchild of this program in the 1990’s)
Two Dentists (Dr. Jonathan Dubin, Dr. Zachary Dubin)
Dermatologist (Dr Harold Brody), 
Ear-Nose-Throat Specialist (Dr. Elaina George)
Gynecologist (Dr. Michael Perry) 
Health & Fitness facility (Concourse Athletic Club)
Three Orthopedic Surgeons (Spine Center of Atlanta, which includes Pain Management, Physical Therapy, Acupuncture, Aqua Therapy and Massage Therapy at their clinic) 
Three Plastic Surgeons (Dr. Michael Petrosky, Dr. Corey Harkins and Dr. James B. Depew at Plastic Surgery Center of the South) 
Two Psychotherapists (Jazmine Barnes, LMSW; Mamie Jones, LPC, MFT) 

NOTE: This program has no connection with SAG-AFTRA or Equity health insurance. SAG-AFTRA and Equity cannot recommend the services of any provider, nor are we responsible for any issues.

If there are any WGA or IATSE members who would like to benefit from any particular provider, please first contact the Committee Chair, Yolanda Asher, and she will ask that provider if they are willing to extend their discount to union members who are on strike or affected by the strike.
